England Trip, Paintings & Skillshare Update
Exhibition with Two Artists, meeting a fellow illustrator.
Hello and happy Autumn to you! I hope you’re well.
First things first, I wanted to let you know that I have 8 seascape paintings on show in the Two Artists at Home online September exhibition. It runs until the end of the month and I’d love it if you would take a look - here is the link.
I’ve just got back from a week in England visiting family and friends and rediscovering Dorset, where I grew up. It was just what I needed! I feel refreshed and motivated for the months ahead.
On one of the days, I got an open-top bus to Swanage and walked the coastal path to Old Harry Rocks. I also had the pleasure of meeting up with Jessamy Hawke, who I’ve been online-friends with for over a year! I bought a tiny autumnal landscape painting from her, which feels like the perfect celebration of the new season.
On another day I went to London and visited the National Gallery for the first time. I fell in love with this Uccello painting and stood in a trance in front of it for a long time. It’s huge and parts of it are gold - the screen does it no justice, but I can’t help but show you. The colours are so beautiful!
Apart from that, I ate a lot of nice food, spent time with friends and family and had many a walk along the beaches of my hometown, boat-watching and paddling in the sea.
Finally, I wanted to update you on my Skillshare class! I’m still going with the editing - it’s been a very steep but fun learning curve. I’m running slightly behind schedule, but I’m hoping to have it live early next month and I’m really looking forward to welcoming you into my space and sharing my GIF-making techniques with you. You’ll be the first to know once it’s up!
I hope you’re well and that this change of seasons is a welcome one. Personally, I’m enjoying the smell of apples in the air! And I like to think the light is a little more golden and the air just a touch crisper since I got back to Brittany.
That’s all from me for now. Take care and until next time,
